Vote in the November 5, 2024 Presidential and General Municipal Election
Polls will be open 7 AM - 8 PM. You can request your absentee ballot online or at the City Clerk's office. Ballots are expected to be mailed and available at City Hall by the first week of October. You do not need to have a specific reason to vote absentee. Ballots must be returned by 8 PM on election day. The City Clerk's office and South Portland Public Library are hosting a voter registration drive at the Main Library Tuesdays from September 17-October 1. Learn more and see times.
Portland Water District Open Seat
The Portland Water District has an open seat on the Board of Trustees representing South Portland and Cape Elizabeth. No candidates will be listed on the November 5 ballot for the seat. Because there are no candidates on the ballot, the open seat may be filled by a write-in candidate. Learn more.
