SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – On April 14, 2025, detectives from the South Portland Police Department were made aware of a robbery that occurred a few days prior, on April 11, at a private residence within the city. One of the suspects in the robbery was said to have displayed a handgun.

The investigation led to the discovery of two suspects, both juveniles. Arrest warrants were obtained for both subjects, and search warrants were obtained for two separate properties tied to those suspects.

On April 28, 2025, South Portland Police detectives, with help from South Portland Police and Portland Police SWAT teams, located the two suspects. Shortly thereafter, search warrants were executed at 42 Gray Street and 19 Elmwood Street, both in Portland.

  • A 17-year-old male from Windham was charged with Criminal Threatening and Terrorizing, both misdemeanors. He was summonsed, with conditions of release, and released to the custody of his parents.
  • A 17-year-old male from Portland was charged with Robbery (a class A felony) and misdemeanor Criminal Threatening and Terrorizing. He was transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Center.

As both are juveniles, their names will not be released. The alleged firearm used in the robbery has not yet been located. Police believe this to be a standalone incident not related to any other recent crime.
