The City Council appointed members to the ad hoc Mahoney City Center Committee at its March 18 meeting. View the appointments.
The Committee will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 6 PM in City Hall Council Chambers (25 Cottage Rd.) Members of the public may join in person or watch on SPC-TV (Spectrum Channel 2) or live online at: https://bit.ly/SPCTV_Live
During the meeting, the Committee will:
- Review Maine's Freedom of Access Act and various City policies
- Review of the work of the former ad hoc Facilities Committee
- Get an update from the Owner's Representative and review the project timeline/next steps
- Elect a chair, vice chair, and secretary
- Determine the Committee's Rules of Procedure, including a protocol for public comments
- Select three (non-staff) Committee members to serve on the design team selection group
- Set date(s) of future Committee meeting(s) and agenda items for next meeting
- Hear comments from the public (Limit of three minutes per speaker. Beginning with the next meeting, the protocol the Committee adopts related to public comment will be implemented.)
