Maine DOT will be paving Running Hill Rd. Maine Mall Rd. to the Scarborough line beginning Monday, August 12, 2024. They aim to complete the project by September 15. This work is weather dependent, and timelines may shift. All work is planned to occur between 7 PM and 7 AM unless otherwise indicated. Traffic will flow in both directions at all times, but traffic may be down to a single lane to allow for the work.
Tentative schedule:
- Monday, August 12: Work begins. This is daytime work.
- Tuesday, August 12-Friday, August 16: Milling. This is night work.
- Sunday, August 18-Friday, August 23: Fixing cracks. This is night work.
- Week of Monday, August 26: Laying first layer of pavement. This is night work.
- After first layer of payment in place: Daytime work. Final layer of pavement timing TBD.
- Sunday, September 15: Goal date for project to be complete.
